Professor DonaldCASSELLSIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Professor Donald Cassells on 25th July 2025 aged 79 years a dearly beloved husband, father, grandad, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

Don was the former Director of the Business School at the University of Northumbria, a respected academic, leader and friend to many. He will be remembered for his wisdom, warmth, and lifelong dedication to education and family.

The Funeral Service will take place at 1.30pm on Friday 5th September 2025 at Whitley Bay Crematorium. All are welcome to attend both the service and the gathering afterwards at The Red Lion, Earsdon.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in Don's memory can be made to the Professor Donald Cassells: Memorial Fundraiser for SITraNs via the MNDA, in honour of his daughter, Janine Turnbull, at: www.justgiving.com/page/nicole-brown-4
